Las Paletas Chiquitas are chubby, stubby, little kid-sized popsicles that come in a variety of tropical flavors, from mango to peach to pineapple. Unlike the sugar-water sticks you get in the grocery store, the chiquitas at the Mexican popsicle store, Las Paletas, on 12th Avenue South, are made on the premises with fresh pureed fruit.
The Global Education Center is a nonprofit arts education center for students, teachers and the community in the area of multicultural, anti-bias education. Using the arts as a pathway to understanding cultural, ethnic and religious groups residing in our community, the Center's staff and artists present ongoing classes, workshops, lecture-demonstrations and performances to promote cross-cultural understanding and respect. 
The first Saturday of every month art galleries throughout downtown host receptions and art openings! Over 1,000 people attend this popular monthly event. Presenting local and world-renowned artists and artwork, the galleries offer rare opportunities to view diverse exhibitions featuring every genre of art.
